Recarburizer are used in castings, cast iron, and cast steel. Casting requirements for carbon, and recarburizer as the name implies is to increase the carbon content in iron. For example, the commonly used smelting furnace material for pig iron, scrap, reheat material, its iron and carbon content is high, but the relative purchase price of scrap is high, so increase the supply of scrap, reduce the amount of pig iron, add carbon additive, can play a role in reducing the cost of casting.

The use of carbon additive can not only compensate for the loss of carbon in the steel smelting process and ensure the carbon content of a specific steel brand, but also be used to adjust after the heating furnace.

Carbon raiser agent as an important raw material for induction furnace melting iron, its quality and use directly affect the state of the iron, ladle de-slagging, de-gassing after adding a specific grade of carbon raiser agent, can adjust the ladle carbon content.

The main materials of carbon additive are graphite, electrode block, coke, silicon carbide and so on. The commonly used electrode blocks and silicon carbide carbonizers have the advantages of high carbon content and high oxidation resistance. The production cost of coke powder and graphite is lower than that of electrode block, but the ash and sulfur content is higher and the carbon content is lower.
