Silicon Metal
Silicon metal, also known as industrial silicon, is a product smelted from silica and carbonaceous reducing agents in an ore-fired furnace. Silicon, the main component of metallic silicon, is usually above 98.5% and below 99.99%, and the remaining impurities are iron, aluminum, calcium, etc.
Manganese Metal
Manganese metal is a high-purity metallurgical material with a manganese content of Impurity elements (such as iron, carbon, silicon, phosphorus, etc.) are strictly controlled within the industry standard range.
Manganese
Manganese is a silver-white transition metal with a slight gray tinge. It is a hard and brittle solid at room temperature, with a melting point of 1246°C and a boiling point of 2061°C, showing typical characteristics of high melting point metals.
Electrolytic Manganese
Electrolytic manganese is a high-purity manganese metal produced by electrolysis, with a purity of more than 99.7%. Its production process uses manganese carbonate or manganese sulfate solution as the electrolyte, and obtains manganese metal flakes or particles through direct current deposition.
Calcium Metal
Calcium Metal is a silvery-white light metal with a soft texture and good ductility. It has active chemical properties and is easily oxidized in the air to form an oxide film. The purity of this product is as high as 99.5%~99.99% (can be customized according to needs), with low density, high reactivity and excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.
Application
Silicon Metal
In the semiconductor industry, due to its excellent electrical insulation and low coefficient of expansion, silicon metal has become an important raw material for manufacturing semiconductor chips and solar cells. High purity silicon powder is the foundation of semiconductor materials.
Calcium Metal
Calcium is a silvery-white, soft metal that tarnishes rapidly in air and reacts with water. Calcium metal is used as a reducing agent in preparing other metals such as thorium and uranium. It is also used as an alloying agent for aluminium, beryllium, copper, lead and magnesium alloys.
Manganese Metal
It is mainly used in alloys, such as steel. Steel contains about 1% manganese, to increase the strength and also improve workability and resistance to wear. Manganese steel contains about 13% manganese. This is extremely strong and is used for railway tracks, safes, rifle barrels and prison bars.
Process of Metal Materials
Silicon Metal
Silicon is reduced inside the crucible and becomes liquid. It is then released through a silicon outlet and cast into ingots, which are subsequently crushed and packaged according to size requirements. A refining process is conducted using a mixture of oxygen and air blown from the bottom.
Manganese Metal
Manganese metal is frequently produced by preparing a solution of manganous sulfate from ore that has been reduction roasted, and electrolyzing this solution. Manganese dioxide is prepared either chemically or electrolytically. Each of these processes is described in greater detail below.
Calcium Metal
Formerly produced by electrolysis of anhydrous calcium chloride, pure calcium metal is now made commercially by heating lime with aluminum. The metal reacts slowly with oxygen, water vapour, and nitrogen of the air to form a yellow coating of the oxide, hydroxide, and nitride.
