Recarburizer
In steel production, carbon content has a significant influence on the mechanical properties of steel. Recarburizers are added to molten steel to accurately adjust the carbon level in order to meet the specific requirements of different steel grades. For example, in the production of high-carbon steel, an adequate amount of recarburizer is required to increase carbon content and enhance the steel's hardness and strength.
Based on raw materials, recarburizers are mainly classified into Calcined Anthracite Coal, calcined petroleum coke, and graphitized petroleum coke. They are used as auxiliary materials in steelmaking and iron carburizing processes. High-quality recarburizers are essential additives in the production of high-grade steel.
In foundry applications, the use of recarburizers can significantly increase the proportion of scrap steel, reduce the consumption of pig iron, or even eliminate the need for pig iron altogether.
Recarburizer pricing is influenced by multiple factors, including raw material costs, product quality (such as carbon content, sulfur content, and particle size), market supply and demand, production processes and technologies, environmental regulations and policies, as well as market competition, including the number of suppliers and brand reputation.
