Priority for 1-5mm SiC Granules:

Fast, uniform deoxidation/reduction (e.g., high-quality/ductile iron inoculation).

Smaller furnaces or high melt uniformity required.

Better packing/filling in refractory castables or patches.

Avoid localized over-reaction from large particles.

Priority for 1-10mm SiC Granules:

Large furnaces (>10 tons) - slower, controlled Si/C release.

Cost-sensitive applications with lower uniformity needs.

Coarse aggregate in refractories for higher strength.

Both widely used: Most plants stock both sizes and switch based on furnace, alloy, and process stage. Same purity grades available.
