Ferro Manganese
Ferro manganese is an alloy mainly composed of two elements, manganese and iron. It is one of the most widely used deoxidizers and alloying materials in the steelmaking process. It is made from manganese ore as the basic raw material through the smelting process of blast furnace or electric furnace. The density of manganese is 7.43g/cm³, the melting point is 1245℃, and the boiling point is 2150℃. Manganese has a strong affinity with oxygen and can combine with oxygen to form stable manganese oxide.
In the field of steelmaking, it alloy has become the most commonly used deoxidizer and alloy material due to its excellent performance. When it is incorporated into steel as an alloying element additive, it can significantly improve the hardness, ductility, toughness and wear resistance of the steel, giving the steel more excellent comprehensive performance. For this reason, ferro manganese is widely used in the production and manufacturing of various alloy steels such as structural steel, tool steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, and wear-resistant steel.
In addition, ferro manganese alloy is also widely used as a popular welding material in industries such as spraying and powder metallurgy, providing strong support for process operations and product quality improvement in these fields.
