Ferro Manganese Alloy

Ferro Manganese Alloy is an alloy of iron and manganese, usually containing about 80% manganese. It is primarily used to counteract the adverse effects of sulfur. It also acts as a deoxidizer and combines with sulfur, thereby improving the hot working properties of the product. It imparts metallurgical properties such as strength, hardness, toughness and hardenability to the product. Ferro Manganese Alloy grades have specific compositions and characteristics to meet the requirements of different applications in the steel industry. For example, standard it is the most commonly used grade and contains between 1.2% and 1.5% carbon. Medium carbon It has a carbon content between 1.5% and 2.0%, while low carbon it has a carbon content of less than 1.5%. High carbon it has a higher carbon content, between 2.5% and 3.5%, while low carbon low silicon it has a lower silicon content than standard it. Ferro Manganese Alloy is produced by smelting iron ore and manganese ore, which are then processed to remove impurities and increase the manganese content. The smelting process requires a lot of energy, but it produces a high-quality material that is essential for steel production.
