Industrial silicon exports increased by 23% month-over-month in June, but decreased by 7% year-over-year in the first half of the year.
According to customs data, industrial silicon exports reached 68,300 tons in June 2025, a 23% increase month-over-month and a 12% increase year-over-year. Cumulative industrial silicon exports from January to June 2025 reached 340,700 tons, a 7% decrease year-over-year. Imports: China imported very little silicon metal in June 2025. Cumulative imports from January to June 2025 reached 5,200 tons, a 62% decrease year-over-year.
