Chromium iron production is mainly carried out through processes such as electric furnace method, silicon reduction method, oxygen blowing method and aluminothermic method.

• High-carbon chromium iron is produced by smelting with chromite and coke in an electric furnace, which is suitable for stainless steel production;
• Medium and low-carbon chromium iron reduces its carbon content through silicon reduction or oxygen blowing;
• Low-carbon chromium iron is produced by aluminothermic method or vacuum decarburization method, suitable for high-performance alloy steel. The choice of process depends on raw materials, cost and environmental protection requirements.
