High Carbon Silicon
Metallurgical High Carbon Silicon is a silicon-carbon alloy with a silicon content of 55% or more and a carbon content of 15% or more. It is suitable for deoxidation, carburization, and improving molten steel quality in steelmaking.
Product Features
Metallurgical high-carbon silicon, with ≥65% silicon and ≥15% carbon along with ultra-low phosphorus and sulfur, releases its activity rapidly and reacts uniformly in molten steel, significantly boosting deoxidation efficiency, stabilizing chemical composition, shortening steelmaking time, while offering excellent storage stability and broad applicability across converter steelmaking, refining, and carbon/deoxidation adjustments for various steel grades.
