Ferrosilicon production mainly uses silica as the primary raw material, with semi-coke serving as both a fuel and reducing agent, and electrode paste and steel scrap as auxiliary materials. Typically, producing one ton of ferrosilicon requires 1,780–1,850 kg of silica, 890–930 kg of coke, 220–230 kg of steel scrap, and 45–55 kg of electrode paste, along with electricity consumption of 8,400–9,000 kWh. Among these, electricity costs account for about 60% of the total production cost, semi-coke about 25%, and silica around 2%.
