Ferro Chrome

Ferro chrome is a metallurgical alloy with chromium and iron as the main components. It has a silver-gray to dark-gray block or granular appearance, high hardness and excellent high-temperature resistance. This product is made by smelting chromium ore (such as chromite), coke and silica in a submerged arc furnace or electrosilicon thermal method. The chromium content covers 50%-75%, and the carbon content can be precisely controlled. It has the functions of strong alloying, corrosion resistance and cost optimization. It is an irreplaceable key raw material in the fields of stainless steel, special alloy steel, heat-resistant materials and surface engineering, and is known as the "backbone of stainless steel."
