Calcium Silicon

Calcium silicon (CaSi) is a composite alloy composed of silicon and calcium, smelted in a high-temperature electric furnace, and has excellent deoxidation, desulfurization and dephosphorization properties. It contains 28%-35% calcium and 55%-65% silicon, with few impurities and strong resistance to powdering and deliquescence. Calcium silicon not only has strong deoxidation ability, and the deoxidation products are easy to float and discharge, but also can improve the performance of steel, improve the plasticity, impact toughness and fluidity of steel. It is widely used in steelmaking, casting and special alloy manufacturing. Calcium silicon can improve the performance of steel and promote the spheroidization of castings. It is a core additive for the production of high-quality steel, stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, etc. Calcium silicon is also used in welding rod coatings, chemical industry, etc.
